About the Teachers

Chris and Jill are high school sweethearts who married in 2001.  In the ten years before they had kids of their own, they worked, played, traveled and had lots of fun doing their favorite things.  They enjoy camping, hiking, and many other outdoor activities.  Chris especially enjoys hunting and fishing.  Jill enjoys singing, reading and being a stay at home mom.

Chris and Jill have four children, ages 11, 9, 6 and 2.

In 2010 they had the unique opportunity to purchase the house on Maple Grove, along with the 3 acres, where Jill’s grandparents had lived for the last 50 years.  Jill’s Grandfather built the house, and she grew up just two blocks away.  She spent many happy years at Grandma’s house – gardening, cooking, baking, and helping hang laundry on the line.  She has many fond memories of the house and of her beloved grandparents, and it was a dream come true to be able to purchase the house.

Chris and Jill have worked together in different capacities for many years, including working on a guest ranch in Stanley Idaho, managing a guest ranch on the Salmon River,  managing a 40 unit apartment complex, and working an office job together.  They genuinely enjoy each other, and are pleased to be able to run this school together.  They have worked very hard the last five years to make this dream come true, and are excited to see the results of their efforts.

Chris received his Montessori Certification from Caspari institute, in May of 2021.

And Jill has been teaching traditional preschool for 5 years, and is currently working on her Montessori certification.

Together, they bring experience, excitement and enthusiasm to enhance the enjoyment of each student.

Miss Meaghan has been a certified Montessori teacher for over 10 years, here in the valley. She fell in love with Montessori when she enrolled her own children when they were young, and realized what a beautiful space, a prepared environment and loving teachers could do for them.   She earned her certification here in Boise at Caspari Institute, and has had the dream of educating with an outdoor classroom for many years.  Through hard work and dedication, she brought that dream to fruition here at Montessori Learning Farm.
